About the 2016 festival

The Goldsmiths Design festival returns in 2016 as part of the London Design Festival! This year, all events will be in one place, at the St James Hatcham gallery in New Cross. A private view for the exhibition will open on the evening of September 15th, with members of the public welcome on 16-18 September.

Postgraduate Show

The Goldsmiths Design Festival hosts the 2016 Postgraduate Degree show, featuring the work of students from Masters courses in Critical Practice, Design and Environment, Fashion, Design Education, Design and Innovation, as well as the Design and Fashion pathways of the MA in Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship and the MRes in Design.

This year’s graduation projects explore a variety of topics and issues, from diagnosing eating disorders amongst Chinese youth to crowding on the Underground and cat cafes. A private viewing of the exhibition for Press and Industry guests will take place on the evening of 15 September; on 16-18 September the show is open to the public.
