The Goldsmiths Design festival returned in 2016 as part of the London Design Festival. All events events took place in one location, at the St James Hatcham gallery in New Cross. The Goldsmiths Design Festival hosted the 2016 Postgraduate Degree show, featuring the work of students from Masters courses in Critical Practice, Design and Environment, Fashion, Design Education, Design and Innovation, as well as the Design and Fashion pathways of the MA in Cultural and Creative Entrepreneurship and the MRes in Design.
The 2016 graduation projects explored a variety of topics and issues, from diagnosing eating disorders amongst Chinese youth to crowding on the Underground and cat cafes. A private viewing of the exhibition for Press and Industry guests took place on the evening of 15 September; on 16-18 September the show was open to the public.
