Slowness in Fashion
This project captures different forms of slowness in fashion. Starting from the idea of slowness as the pace in movement led me to observe and document elderly people and the fashion on their bodies. This reveals a very basic relationship between clothes and body and the practicality of clothing that is lost in mainstream fast-fashion. Another definition of slowness emerges from emotional attachment between clothes and the wearers which can extend the lifespan of clothes. This collection of slow explorations helps to imagine fashion that has a very different relationship to time.
