Our Method for Achieving the Best Logo
MA in Design Critical Practice
What has been designed is a toolkit/activity book (of sorts) that promotes and invites clients to participate in an approach to logo-design unique to Han’s studio. In the design process advanced the client is encouraged and supported to participate – from diagnostic mapping to the final production of the logo.
At the nub of the project is a conceptual framework that breaks logos down into a ‘building grammar’of emblem, word and signature. This is coupled to a process, which looks at, strategizes and links decisions about logo to features of brand that produce traction in the market (including ideas of identity adhesion). These features are identified in research of clients and company – logos being produced in a dynamic interaction between what the company identifies of itself (now and in projection into the future) and how a client or customer identifies the company.
